This paper discusses the practice of medicine as essentially information oriented which calls for effort geared towards proper acquisition of information for high quality health care. The main purpose of the paper was to find out the use of information resources by medical doctors in Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital. Findings show that Medical Doctors perceive the library to be very relevant as a source of information. Findings also showed that the Internet is the major source of information. A very high percentage applies sourced information with a very high frequency in attending to patients. Heavy workload was the major hindrance to the effective use of the medical library. The study recommends that information technology structures linking the various departments should be developed to help ensure that quality information is made available to the Doctors for effective performance of their duties.
