The single board embedded microcomputer is a general – purpose embedded computer system, based on an 8-bit Micro-Controller Unit [MCU] with RAM and FLASH inclusive. This system supports all popular operations performed by microcomputer systems with the extra functionality of being re – adaptable to varied uses. Its communication unit supports RS232 for short distance communication, USB for PC interface. It supports a pluggable user interface (GLCD for Display, Alphanumeric Keypad [membrane] for input. A Sensory Control subsystem with an ADC for analog feedback signals. A Software subsystem, featuring a Real Time Operating System [RTOS], with standard API, software drivers for universal asynchronous receiver/transmitter [UART]. Typical uses for this general purpose board is in popular science, where it is used to automate common scientific operations in equipment sensing, measurement and in advanced research data logging in radio astronomy, industrial automation, control and robotics. This board is designed with versatile and current technology, while preserving ease of use. The embedded multifunction microcomputer processing system offers high processing and memory capabilities at low energy consumption, at a realizable market price.
