THE CHALLENGES OF GLOBALIZATION TO INDIGENOUS FIRMS

The research topic of study is “the challenges of globalization to indigenous firms”. The research had its offshoot as the introductory perspectives and varied issues such as objectives, scope of the study were brought to discussion, relevant literatures were presented to facilitate quick understanding of the report. The methodology of the research study is primary method with the survey method as its specific tool. A comprehensive sample size was drawn based on the simple and stratified random sampling according to the population volume of each of the 5 (five) states selected. The researcher constructed a total of 39 questions in order elicit useful data for research. The researcher had 4 (four) hypotheses which were tested using the ANOVA, as a statistical tool. The result confirms the success of all the hypotheses. For ultimate reliability, results and analyses for each of the hypotheses were saved, stored and coded at different dates to facilitate identification. These results and finding, were presented. The results of the research indicated that indigenous firms lacks the ability to compete, price and quality wise in the global market, it lacks access to modern production technology, the researcher suggested that these problems can be minimized by domestic investment in indigenous technology. Small and medium enterprises should be motivated by offering technical and professional advice on how to do business.
