IMPLEMENTATION OF SPECIAL EDUCATION CURRICULUM IN THE 21ST CENTURY IN NIGERIA: A MISSING LINK IN THE NATIONAL REBRANDING PROCESS

The study examines the implementation of special education curriculum in Nigeria, and identifies the missing,link in the national rebranding process within the educational sector. A descriptive survey design was used, while the sample comprises of 164 students and 32 teachers/supervisors drawn through random sampling technique. Structured questionnaire was constructed by the researcher, and the data collected were analyzed using mean and standard deviation. The study revealed among other things, that initiative, skill creative, critical self-efficacy, project (research), collaboration and self-productive entrepreneurship skills are needed in the implementation of special education curriculum in this 21st century
