This study assesses ethics and level of contractors’ compliance to it and its effects on quality of construction products in Anambra State. The study also seeks to highlight the standard code of ethics for construction contractors. A broad review of literature was carried out on construction industries, journals, thesis and other relevant materials needed to explore the level of contractors’ compliance to ethics. Data were collected with the aid of well structured questionnaires administered on researchers/ construction contractors aimed at ascertaining the level of compliance to ethics in construction firms, higher institutions and government ministries in Nnewi, Awka, Onitsha, Ekwulobia and Ihiala as these towns form the major cities in Anambra State. The data generated were further analyzed using descriptive statistical tools such as frequencies and relative importance index ranking, as well as comparison of results from respondents. The results of the interpretation obtained formed the basis for the conclusion drawn and recommendations given.
