DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF ELECTRONIC LEARNING (E-LEARNING) SYSTEM FOR NIGERIA UNIVERSITIES

The study is all about design and implementation of electronic learning. The research design and methodology is therefore, which critically looks into design and implementation of e-Learning system for Nigerian universities. The current study is concerned with reducing work lag-time on e-Learning platforms, and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate programmes all over the world. The research has highlighted various kinds of e-Learning platforms such as teleconferencing, virtual reality and video-conferencing. It addresses the following; the impact of resource materials on the design and implementation of e-Learning in Nigeria; impact of awareness creation on the design and implementation of e-Learning in Nigeria; impact of computer literacy on e-Learning in Nigeria; the impact of personal computer on the design and implementation of e-Learning in Nigeria; how constant power supply affect design and implementation of e-Learning in Nigeria. The design in exploratory while the source of data is chiefly secondary. It discovers that e-Learning has not gained ground in Nigeria due to poor awareness, poor electricity generation and poverty that hinders the purchase of personal computers by learners. It concludes that government should produce quality electricity and good awareness should be created.
